Enrolling a New Student

Steps for enrolling a new student:

If your student is new and has never attended a Cobb County school, or is a returning student, please use our secure online registration system at olr.cobbk12.org to register your student and upload all enrollment documents.

​

**Students under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult when enrolling in school

​

If you are registering a current student and changing to another Cobb school due to an address change, log in to your ParentVUE account to update your address and complete the Change Schools process.

​

New to Cobb: Use Online Registration at olr.cobbk12.org 

​

Previous Cobb Student Returning to a District School:  Use Online Registration at olr.cobbk12.org

​

Current Cobb Student Changing Schools with a Change of Address: Log in to your ParentVUE account to change your address and change to another Cobb school based on your feeder pattern

​

You will need to have ALL required documents scanned and ready to upload (see list below). Important note: the person who completes and signs the online documents will be the 'enrolling adult' for your student.

​

Once you have uploaded all required documents, the counseling clerk will verify the enrollment, and THEN a school counselor will contact you to discuss course placement and electives for the school year.

The following documents are required of all students prior to being enrolled in the Cobb County School District and Sprayberry High School:

​

1.    Two Proofs of Residency (must reflect the enrolling adult's name and current address):

a.    One MUST be either a current (not expired) signed lease OR a mortgage document (dated within 1 month)

b.    One MUST be a current utility bill (dated within 1 month)

2.    Proof of birth (birth certificate, passport, etc.)

3.    Social Security Card

4.    Certificate of Immunization--Georgia Form 3231

5.    Certificate of Vision, Hearing, Dental, and Nutritional Screening--Georgia Form 3300

6.    Transcript of classes from previous school

7.    Withdrawal Form

8.    JBC-9 Disclosures Required for Conditional Admission

9.    Other documents that may be needed: IEP or Section 504 Plan for support services, Custody Documents,

       Prior Report Card, Discipline Record

Steps for transferring a student back to their home school:

​

If your student is attending another Cobb County school and you are transferring the student back to their home (assigned) school, you will complete the Student Re-Enrollment Form (JBC-5b) and provide two proofs of residency.

Withdrawing a Student

Steps for withdrawing a student:

Step 1: Withdraws must be done at the Counseling Office.  The person who enrolled the student must also withdraw the student.  Unless the student is 18 years of age or older, a photo ID must be provided.
 
Step 2: A withdrawal form will be generated by the Counseling Office and must be signed by the person withdrawing the student.
 
Step 3: Records will be released when Sprayberry HS Counseling Department receives a records request from the student’s new school.
 
What if my student has already enrolled in a new school?  Records will be released when Sprayberry HS Counseling Department receives a records request from the student’s new school.
